No spikes in treble but also no liveliness. Whole sound field was like under the curtains. I somehow didn't liked the cooper signature, the sound became more muted, bass bloated and not so impactful. This problem disappeared with changing to cooper nicehck cable. As i already wrote there was sss sibilace problem with default stock cable. That leaves it to the cable, and the IEMs, and physics/logic leads to the IEMs, because of the cable introducing more powerful lower frequencies. And I know that the source (my Axon 7) has zero distortion even beyond max/tolerable volume, so yeah, it's not the "source" for sure. So yeah, what I'm trying to say basically, is that the DM5 was used to a very light/blunted bass with the stock silver cable, and it was a new "experience" for it, when the copper "unleashed" the lower frequencies, and thus - it was noticeably distorting a bit. Not sure if they "smoothed out" later (or "burned-in-ed" themselves somewhat?), because my listening experiments from that night were pretty much ~2-3 hours with the copper cable, probably not enough time tell if something changed (and I didn't thought about keep track of these particular changes at the time).

So, If I had to guess, it would be the IEM's and their drivers (specifically the DD in the DM5s) that were distorting at first.
Might not be the cable, but actually the drivers of the DM5, which were probably "not used" to such "signal" before. The Silver stock cable was very "smooth" in comparison, so that's that. distort-y (I'm making up words now)? These impressions were made with my sub-bass test song - "Daddy Yankee - Rompe", and I got the feeling of distortion indeed (other songs as well).
Even though I would normally say that that's a bit too much, I have to be honest and say that as far as I remember, the first minutes of listening with the NICEHCK 8Core Pure copper on the BGVP DM5, It was.
